In this plant, the workpieces are placed by hand in the inlet region of the edge gluing machine. Depending on the programmed number of edges to be glued on, the workpieces will be placed on the return conveyor line by the WINNER portal or stacked on one of the two stacking places. During the test run of the plant at the BIESSE plant in Pesaro, between 600 and 700 workpieces with a size of 60 x 60 centimeters were edged on four sides in 7 hours.
The 24-fold edge magazine is equipped with its own PC and barcode reader for the management of the edge material.
The two gluing zones, each with a PU melting device, enable a rapid changeover between two adhesive colors. If required, EVA granules can be poured directly into the gluing unit.
All units are adjusted via the machine control. UPDATE: The pivoting of the grooving unit is also controlled.
Before our test run, the machine had already stood for several months. After a few start-up tests, the machine had warmed up and edged boards with high quality at high speed.
The system includes a second set of joining milling cutters, as shown in the photos.
