• 1" Min. to 12-1/4" max. width cap. x 3-3/4" max cutting depth (4-1/4" without pressure board); 13-1/2" wide feed chain. 65 mm dia. saw arbor; 80 mm dia. saw blade bore.

• Arbor driven by 50 HP motor at 3,900 RPM; 9-3/4" min  and 15" max. saw blade dia. 2 HP feed motor with feed speeds from 13 to 158 FPM.

• Cutting accuracy of +/- 0.005" with pneumatic pressure hood and the cast-iron transport chain; chain runs on dual V-guide system providing proper board control; with wear resistant chain dip cams.

• Extended feed chain with spikes; boards are transported effortlessly into the machine.

• Fast set-up of arbor with QuickFix blade positioning and Laser-fix pivoting lasers; easy access wide open hood and centrally arranged controls.

• Low maintenance closed feed chain; automatic chain lubrication; maintenance-free saw arbor bearings; (5) anti-kick-back rows and locking safety hood with noise protection.

• Saw-blade adjustment consisting of pressure board clamping device with high phenolic pressure board; (2) speeds for saw blade height adjustment.

• (1) Fixed and (2) moving Lasers Lights including mounting elements. Mechanical adjustment, synchronous with the first and second movable head.

• Includes Raimann Rip-for-Yield & Rip-on-Demand System with (2) movable heads, consisting of positioning system, (2) solid adjustment brackets, (1) bushing to fix saw blade, positioning tolerance +/- 0.005" with adjustment speed 3"/sec. Fast changing of saw blades with ball threaded adjustment; movable control panel.

• Electro-motor driven pressure hood height adjustment with push buttons; electro-motor-driven saw arbor adjustment with push-button; precise Dip Chain with high cutting precision.

• V-belt driven saw arbor allows vibration-free operation; with protection hood; frequency controlled feed speed, infinitely variable.

• Dust hood made of solid steel plate; safety switch at the infeed of the machine for automatic machine STOP in case of oversized boards; automatic star-delta-starter with thermal over current relays and EMERGENCY STOP switch at the outfeed. Electrics manufactured by SIEMENS; Control box fixed to the machine frame.

• Arbor Set-Up possibilities for movable heads (Optimized Ripping) for Rip-On-Demand & Rip-for-Yield; Pressure Shoe, Phenolic.

• Open design for movable blades; Movable Operator Panel is mounted on a roller support which offers advantages when cutting boards of varying lengths; unit can always be placed near the operator, incl. 16' cable.

• Electronic Control Unit "Proficut II" for 2 movable heads; system controls (2) movable saw units and consists of a programmable controller, battery buffered, memory of (200) values, i.e. (10) cutting programs with (10) values each.

• Touch screen to program nominal values; (20) push-buttons ergonomically arranged for pulling up the preprogrammed sizes; other control keys for all machine functions such as feed speed, saw ON/OFF, emergency stop, etc.

• Direct input of nominal value with ten-key keyboard; Haul function (can be called or not) for the 2nd movable head; manual operation press adjusting key "left run / right run"; haul function (can be called or not) for 2nd movable head.

• Program Operation with punch pre-set nominal values with push buttons; confirmation switch to start adjustment including haul function for 2nd movable head.

• Chain with spikes screwed on to every 3rd chain link; impact depth 0.020". Spikes keep the work piece on the chain and thus guarantee an absolutely parallel board feed and an accurate cut.

• Pressure rollers and pressure board are adjusted with pneumatic cylinders, providing a very smooth drive especially for high performance and glue joint operation; driven outfeed roller.

• Solid driven lower outfeed pressure roller fixed to the machine frame beyond the transport chain, assures the material outfeed and helps prevent end snipes.

• Solid non-driven upper pressure roller fixed to the pressure hood and height adjustable with the pressure hood, keeps the work piece in place during outfeed. • (3) Laser Units with adjusting mechanism

• Quickfix Arbor allows quick changeover of rip widths WITHOUT the use of a SLEEVE and SPACER set. Simply turn the knurled knob on the outside of the arbor to loosen the blades, move the blades to their new position(s); use a small spacer block for the different widths. Tighten the knurled locking knob, close the machine hood and you are ready to run.

• Includes spray mist device to prevent blades from seizing on the arbor and to clean dirt and resin from the arbor; consists of a spray nozzle integrated in the cutting area and a 2.5 liter tank, mounted on the machine. Spray material released by pushing a button.

• Includes Optimizing Infeed System "Valu-Rip IV" Optimizing Infeed; operates at 260 FPM; 36" to 16' length cap. x 2-1/2" min. to 23" max. width cap. and consisting of: Lateral chain system with lumber stops on the lateral chains to stage material ahead of the feed table.

•  Laser rack "Green Lights" shows the operator the rip solutions at the infeed position (operator can override thru the touch screen), 16' Infeed canted roll feed table with movable servo fence.

• High precision Ultra-sonic Width Measurement Sensor (single point).

• Industrial PC with ergonomic, user friendly 12" Touch Screen.

• ScanCore optimizing/tally software, based on clear board width optimizing. (3) Rows of Chain hooks on lateral infeed.

• New chain in 2009. – [Ref. RG-011162]
